  • The host Conrad was on site when we arrived and gave a warm welcome and a super tour through the historical building.
If you like retro style and old fashioned furnitures, then this is perfect. The rooms were very clean. We loved the view to the river on the Veranda and we were even served with food and drinks from the great Cafe in the same house. The best gastronomy-staff and service we have experienced during our long travel around Australia. Very recommended.

  • We had rented two rooms at Conrad's place and we had an awesome time. The place has so much character. It is like stepping back in history. And it's not just the buildings, the furnishings and everything else too. The views are very nice too. We didn't get to meet Conrad but his communication was excellent from before we even made the booking. While we were there, Dan looked after us and went the extra mile to make coffees for us while the cafe was closed for breakfast.
As my son plays the piano, we had a great time on the baby grand piano too!
We had an excellent time and we will return whenever we're back in Kempsey.

  • The Netherby is such a nice place. Conrad was such a wonderful host. I truly appreciate how quick he was to respond back to questions I had. I loved how beautiful the location is and I hope to come back some day. Added bonus The Pantry cafe attached to the Netherby is a great option for breakfast, lunch or just coffee.

  • “Beautiful cafe. Nestled among gorgeous big trees, great for shade & looking over the Maclay river at Kempsey. The most friendliest staff, & produce is local. Ah yes one of the best scones I have had also, with delicious homemade jam. Highly recommend 😀”

  • Had the most enjoyable morning in the garden enjoying friendly, enthusiastic and inviting service, wow so refreshing. The food was FRESH AND FLAVOURSOME, I had tomato and fetta the other members of our party had a variety of dished and all were worthy of coming back and doing it again.... Well done I will look forward to driving the hour and half to do it again... highly recommend.
